Although the full size bed is not necessarily idea for two adults it is a great choice for a guest room for several reasons. Firstly it is very comfortable for one, but if you have children to stay, then it is perfectly adequate for two. So with the addition of the trundle you can either sleep four kids, or one adult and two kids with out any problems. You can sleep two adults and two kids, but the adults may find it a bit of a snuggle, however, most guests are not going to mind especially if you are accommodating their whole family.

If you are concerned about how your room will look when the trundle bed is not in use, don’t worry. Most trundle beds are designed to simply look like drawers under the main bed, so there is no detrimental effect on the look of your room.

Finally, before you purchase your trundle bed to sure to check out what bedding you require. You may find that the trundle mattress is a little smaller than the main mattress, so you fitted sheets may not fit perfectly. The manufacturer of the bed may have specially designed sheets for their trundle bed; otherwise you are best off buying some flat sheets for it. If you are likely to go through periods of time when the trundle bed is not used it is worth investing in a good quality dust cover to make sure that when you need to use the bed it will not require airing.

As more and more of us are living in cities, we are continually trying to find clever storage solutions which will prevent our homes from looking cluttered, while still having enough places to put our belongings. This is where the full storage bed comes into its own.

A full size bed is a great choice for any room, but it may not leave a huge amount of space for anything else. However, if you can use the space under the bed you will suddenly find that you do not need quite as much furniture as your thought.

There are several things to consider before you buy a full storage bed. Firstly is the design. There are two basic designs. The first is with pull out drawers. If you choose this style then you need to be sure that you have enough space around the bed to actually access the drawers, otherwise they will be useless.

If you are choosing the drawer options then you can either have deep drawers for awkward objects, such as spare duvets and pillows, or if you are planning on storing clothes you can have two tiers of shallower drawers. This will give you either two deep drawers or four shallow drawers on both sides of the bed. If you think of your average chest of drawers, this is equivalent two extra chests of drawers, simply by using the space under the bed.

If your room is smaller and you will not be able to access bed from both sides you can still have a full storage bed, you just have to choose the other design. Unfortunately this is a slightly more difficult design, but it is still very stylish.

The second design is where the platform on which the mattress sits lifts up. It is hinged near the head and lifts from the feet. This is better for longer term storage; you would not want to have to access this every morning when you were getting dressed. Since the space us usually not divided up it makes it a great area for storing bulky items such as spare duvets and out of season clothes. Although you are lifting up the mattress every time you access the storage space you will find that they have very clever hinging which means that you don’t need to be a weight lifter to access you stuff.

Whichever design of full storage bed you choose you can be pretty sure that you will fill the space, and will soon be wondering how you ever managed before. The strange thing about storage is that we always seem to need more.
